Yo weight training, I'm really happy for you and I'mma let you finish, but the H.I.I.T vs Steady State Cardio (L.I.S.S) debate is one of the greatest of ALL time!

We've all learned that weight training is the most effective tool we have when it comes to general fat loss but what about cardio?

By the end of this video, you'll understand the great debate of H.I.I.T vs steady state cardio and why you're doing it wrong.
What You Need To Know
  • Steady state cardio (L.I.S.S) is any cardiovascular exercise performed in an 'aerobic' state.  For example, if you went for a walk for 30-45 mins at talking pace, you're performing L.I.S.S.  
  • High Intensity Interval Training (H.I.I.T) is any cardiovascular exercise performed in an 'anaerobic' state.  For example, sprinting for up to 30 seconds followed by 2-4 minutes rest.
  • Both forms of cardio have their benefit in general fat loss
  • Both forms of cardio can be detrimental to progress if done wrong
  • In this video, I'm talking about general fat loss, not improving your fitness for an event​
