Which one will it be this time? Paleo? Keto? IIFYM? Atkins? 5:2 diet? Meal Plan? Whichever you choose, you’re choosing it because either: a) You’re in pain, feel uncomfortable in your clothes and you need something to follow again b) Your friend recommended you to try it c) You saw a success story on the ol’ internet and they swore their success on [insert diet here] What if I told you it wasn’t the diet that made them successful and that every ‘diet’ I mentioned above, actually resulted in the same method. The question is: Are you going on another diet to lose weight? That’s a shame & here's why... Every where you look these days you’ll find someone preaching their favourite diet to be the saviour of their weight problems. “Paleo is the way to go, I lost 25kg thanks to Paleo” “I’ve tried every diet in the book but nothing worked except for the Keto Diet” “5:2 is a God send. Nothing else worked apart from this one. I’ve lost 15kg so far and it’s all thanks to 5:2”. Here’s the thing: Correlation doesn’t always mean causation. This picture shows what I mean: Regardless of the diet you choose, or method you use, the real reason why you're losing weight is because you're now eating in a calorie deficit or in other words, burning more calories than you consume. You correlate the Keto diet with weight loss because you think that's what 'caused' your weight loss. What really 'caused' your weight loss was your calorie deficit. I'll say it again - correlation doesn’t always mean causation. Okay one more time in fancy quote form: "Correlation doesn’t always mean causation" Are You Going On Another Diet To Lose Weight? That’s a Shame & Here's Why...You didn’t lose weight doing the 5:2 diet, the Atkins diet, the Keto diet or even following the principles of IIFYM. You lost weight because you ate in a calorie deficit over a period of time. Due to the rules of the diet, you began controlling the food you were eating and as a result, you lost weight. The bottom line is, every diet WORKS not by the principles of the diet, but by the laws of thermodynamics which is energy in vs energy out. Now, what if I told you it’s possible to lose weight for the last time? Imagine never needing to go on a ‘diet’ ever again. Seems to good to be true right? Wrong. You see, a diet is temporary. It represents restrictions and acts as a ‘band-aid’ for the symptoms, as opposed to dealing with the cause in the first place. Chances are, you didn’t gain weight overnight. It’s happened over a period of time to a point where you either looked at a picture of yourself or you couldn’t fit into your pants anymore and that made you google “best diet for weight loss”. You don’t need to go on another ‘diet’ to lose weight because we all know how that’s going to end. You eventually screw up, throw in the towel, and the old unhealthy habits creep in like a burglar in the night. So, what do you do? You need to understand that there’s no such thing as a ‘diet’. To lose weight for the last time you must work on changing those habits one by one. You must identify key habits that are causing you to gain weight. For example:
The point is, going on another diet won’t fix your weight problems or make you happy. It’s a temporary fix to an underlying cause that you’re not taking the time to address. Of course it’s hard. If it were easy, we’d all be in our dream bodies and obesity wouldn’t be at an all time high. I could go into how much money these diet and supplement companies make from spamming you into buying their products, but I’ll let this article do the talking. This would be a great time for me to show you how many people we’ve helped lose fat forever by helping them change their mindset towards food, but I know if you really want to work with us, you’ll get in contact. The BEST diet for weight loss is the one that’s not actually a ‘diet’. The best diet for weight loss is the one you can stick to, day in day out, for the rest of your life. Actually, just stop ‘dieting’ altogether. Long term weight loss = creating a calorie deficit = controlling how many calories you consume = identifying habits you wish to change. Take Home Points
I’ll leave you with a thought…

I've battled with weight loss over the last 15 years, and it has fluctuated by as much as 6 stone at any one time. I FINALLY have found out what works for me, and seems to suit my lifestyle perfectly.
