Are You Sedentary?

In fact, studies show us sedentary behaviour is closely linked to obesity. Research shows that obese individuals sit for an average of 2 hours longer each day than lean people do [1].

"If obese individuals adopted the NEAT-enhanced behaviors of their lean counterparts, they might expend an additional 350 calories (kcal) per day."

What Is NEAT And How Can I Get More Of It?
NEAT stands for Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis.  Essentially it's all the energy expended for everything we do that is not sleeping, eating or sports-like exercise [2]. It ranges from the energy expended walking to work, typing, performing house work and fidgeting. In the video below I explain what NEAT is in more detail and how you can get more of it.
